Spring!

So, it has been very quiet around here lately....my apologies! I have been consumed with family life!

I am happy to report, though, that in my neck of the woods...Spring has sprung! And the gorgeous sunny days are starting to outnumber the cold, gloomy ones. And this sunshine seems to be just what I have needed! Sewing maching has been dusted off and my sewjo is in full swing! I am so excited about this new line I am bringing you. It is so colourful and soft, practicle and comfortable. Very soon my Madeit store will be full to the brim with gorgeous, vintage, upcycled lounge style pants for little ones. Perfect for playing at home, wearing to the beach, dressing up with a pretty/funky tee, to wear anywhere really! Here is just a little taste of what you can expect to see this Spring/Summer in my store......

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon!

Madeit Monday...banish the toy catalogues!

I don't know about you, but our letterbox has been inundated with some very fat t-o-y (I'm spelling so my kids don't hear....actually my eldest son can spell that so I'll have to figure out a code word, I think!) catalogues. I actually quite like sitting down with a cuppa and flicking through catalogues....but not nearly as much as I love to browse at Madeit! And for toys.....oh, there are so many beautiful, lovingly handmade toys to be found. I've put together just a tiny taste of some of my faves......

Pepper Stitches ~ Antler Boy

Zoology ~ Apple Teether
My Playhouse Adventures ~Fabric Cubby House
Calamity Bolt ~ Hobby Horse

Cook You Some Noodles ~ Counting Bean Bags

Elfin Trail ~ Faerie Garden Kit

Hello....

...and welcome! To my brand new Jembelina Knits blog! Yay!

It's only recently I have picked the knitting needles back up.......for quite a few months my knitting bag was tightly zipped while I tended to my family. I feel really ready to dive right in now. My wool stash is sorted, shade cards litter my desk....and there is definitely a clickity clack about the place in the evenings.

If you have visited my Madeit Store you will have noticed it's a little on the empty side....please bear with me! More yummy stock is coming. I have some pairs ready to go, some ready to sew, and many ideas floating around in my mind ready to knit up! If only everyone in my house didn't keep getting sick!

A few days ago I thought I'd try my hand at dyeing some wool.......

I am in LOVE with the colour.....it is lighter in real life, but just as good! I have just started knitting it up into a pair of cosy little pants and it looks gorgeous! Sneak peek photo next time...hopefully along with some more hand dyed goodness.

Thank you so very much for stopping by...hope to see you again soon!

Jem :)
